Hi I'm a newbie to Audi n the forum! My wife has just purchased a A3 1.6se year 2000 and she was wondering what the switch on the o/s door/rear quarter post does

if the switch you are talking about is the switch that I'm thinking of, it disables the interior motion sensor for the alarm. important if you lock the car with the windows cracked, or temporarily leave a pet, child, spouse etc. in the car with the door locked whilst you are fueling, running into a shop for a sec, etc
