Default newbie seeking advice

so ive been really looking into getting an audi a4, preferrably a 2002 or 2003, and ive shopped around and ive done some research. seems like everyone agrees that a 1.8t is the way to go? but when i test drove the 1.8t there was a lotta turbo lag, and compared to the 3.0 that i drove, it felt sluggish.. so i guess my question is, what do you guys think/suggest? im not looking to enhance the car performance wise, im happy with the power it already has, and its just gonna be a daily driver.. any pros and cons to getting the 1.8t? and/or the 3.0? which one is more of a headache down the line?

btw, im looking at this one in particular : 2003 A4 Quattro, 3.0, cold weather-premium-sport package, 58K miles.. for $19,995. link for pics - http://www.belmontautocenter.com/detail.cfm?ID=193194

1.8t is better for mods and the 3.0 is more reliable! And of course the stock 3.0 is faster than the 1.8

If I were you I'd shop for a B5 with less miles.

If you plan to keep it stock, then maybe the 3.0 is the answer.

I agree. As just a reliable daily driver the 3.0 is the better choice. Maybe this might help... https://www.audiforums.com/m_355352/tm.htm
