Default OBDII Drive Cycle

Can anyone tell me what the drive cycle is for a 2002 A4 to set the OBDII to its "ready" condition? The manual doesn't say.

Avant80@2.6 - thanks for the reply. Glad you're an automotive technician -- I'm about the furtherst thing from it. Here's my situation, maybe you can help. We just moved to a new area, so haven't found a good shop yet. My wife took the car in for inspection, and it failed becuase the OPD system wasn't "ready." The guy there said it needed to be driven 60 miles, but this didn't make a lot of sense since the car has been driven hundreds of miles since the event that caused the OPD to be needed to be reset (the lights being left on and it needing to be jumped, we believe). Anyway, the pamphlet from the state the garage gave us gave a generic drive cylce which was pretty involved. We spoke to a garage from our old town, and they told us that each car can have a very specific drive cycle and we would have to find out what it is. He couldn't help us because he couldn't access his computer. He also told us that for the amount of miles we've driven since the car was jumped, the OBD should have reset. Anyway, that's our sitch. Obviously, we can take it in someplace where they know what they're doing, but I was hoping to do the drive cycle today. Any suggestions?

hes telling pork pies/lies, every time you turn the ignition on you start a drive cycle what you need to do is take it for a decent run so the system is well up to temperature as its the emissions hes looking for so your car could have been too cold and catalysts not at optimum, ensure its real hot next time you take it in
