Default Oil sludge killed my car. Help

Any help would be great. My 2001 Audi A4 just died this weekend. I didn't know about this oil sludge problem the cars have had and the 8 year warrenty Audi had given for the problem. My oil light came on and I took it to my mechanic 3 times, had them run the diagnostics and they came back with "its a broken sensor". The mechanic told me I could drive the car and a week later my engine seized.

So is the car worthless now? Can I save it in any way? What would the cost be to get a new engine from a junkyard? Or can I take any action against Audi or the mechanic? I can't believe my baby is gone. I loved that car.

Thanks for any suggestions

I think you need a new engine. Or rebuild maybe. Sorry for the engine.

how is it that you would reccomend getting rid of the sludge? I'm new to these forums and never heard of this problem before.
