Its great to be a member and read the great posts. I am looking for wither an 06 or 07 Audi A6. I love the way they look and handle. I do have one pre-purchase question though. A friend told me you have to have your Audi serviced (oil change tune ups etc) by the dealer or you void the warranty. Is this true? I like to work on my cars myself...it keeps me in tune with the car and saves me quite a bit of money, but I would not want to void my warranty. Can anyone help me with an answer and any thing I should look for on a late model A6?

I don't think that would be true, but check with your local dealer just to be sure.

I got clarification from my friend, he said that in order to maintain his warranty he had to have the recomended service done every so many miles and that the amount of items on the list include items you cannot do yourself (im not sure I beleive my friend because he is the type that would pay to have his wipers replaced) I have never worked on an Audi but would assume most recommended maintenence could be done yourself right? He said he gets charged $150 every 10,000 miles and he hates it, however, I think $150 every 10,00 miles is a great deal?
