I'm looking at a 2004 A4 Cabriolet 1.8T that my boyfriend's coworker is selling. It's her 2nd car and she just doesn't need it anymore. It's got 80k miles, just got new brakes and had the turbo rebuilt, however, the service engine soon light keeps coming on. She's taken it to a couple different mechanics, and they've both said she should keep enjoying it, because it will continue to run for a long time, and that the repair would be very expensive. It looks like the engine head will either need to be rebuilt or replaced. Do you think this car is a good deal for $7500?

I personally don't think so, I would suggest fixing the car before you purchase or getting a discount for about the amount it would cost to fix... Also, its time for a timing belt change was that done?
