Question Thinking About Switching Over

Hello, my name is Shane and I currently own a 2006 Evo 9. I am thinking about getting a more refined vehicle without giving up completely on performance. I have been looking at some 07 Audi A4 S-Lines. I was wondering if anyone has switched from an Evo or maybe an STI. I absolutely love my car but I think I need to move on. I drive around a lot and a lot of highway miles so something as small as cruise control would go a long way. I just wanted to introduce myself and obtain as much knowledge about the B7 as I can.

IMO it kind of depends on what you are looking for as far as performance. Any Audi is most likely not going to outrun your Evo 9 off the line, even with performance mods.

The S4 will offer better ride quality and a better highway experience than either the STi or the Evo, while still providing some impressive get up and go. It is tunable and trackable while still having excellent road manners.

Drive one and see what you think.

...again just my opinion

Well I know this car performance wise isn't going to stack up with my Evo and the way she is set up. But I don't want to completely give it up. I have driven the S-Line and the car is just soo smooth. If I were to pick one up I would love to know the aftermarket scene for the car.

I'm not looking for a car that will be the replacement for my car performance wise. But I would like to be able to do some work on the car.

Was a big fan of evos and sti had one evo but u know what i got myself just the other day a b5 audi s4 which is 99-2002 presonally find a 2002 now if you do a turbo swap being k04- or even quicker gt28 ur talkin 10s low 9's with proper injectors and bolt ons! I love my s4 and feels great and power wise i think u should stick with the 2000-2002 s4 and u will love every moment. As of now there isn't much of anything for the b7 that wont cost u a arm and a leg. Now this is my opion but the 2000-2002 Audi s4 is the way to go right now little by little there are getting more mods for these cars and knowing what an evo is and drives i will never go back to one =p

I am going with MidnightB5. Even with a 2001 s4 you will never be dissapointed. Not only are the s4's really... and i mean really fast, but the mods are endless. You will also get quite a bit of money left over, and that means Insane fast! The Audi family will not dissapoint you with all the added luxury's options and it never fails to put a smile on your face when you put the pedal to the floor!
