Total AUDI Newbie!
Hello All, We're first time owners from Calgary, AB Canada, of an Audi product after being long time GM owners. The current ride is a 2019 Audi Q7 that had just over 22,000 kms (about 13,750 miles) on it, in absolutely mint condition. We like road trips and decided to replace our 2 GM rides with a single 'new' SUV that was a little bigger in space than our old GMC Terrain. Since Make was no longer hard coded in our search, we test drove late model Lincolns, Volvos, Toyotas, Kias and were blown away when we tried an Audi Q7. Most impressive feature was how quiet it was at highway speeds that allowed normal conversations in the vehicle without having to raise our voice volumes to be heard. Vehicle performance was a close second and tied with all the power adjustable features - like the steering wheel (so many others were manual) to power third row seating deployment (again others were manual) to electric E-brake and on and on. The Q7 exudes luxury and convenience and we couldn't be happier! I never thought I'd own an Audi, not because of its price but rather my perceived quality of them from a colleague who owned one years ago. My colleague who owned a brand new one in 1985, originally thought that if he spent more on a vehicle that he would be getting a better car. His Audi spent more time in the shop than he cared to admit and he said he'd never have another one. He used to challenge anyone to name a deficiency with their vehicle and he would do the same with his Audi and to see who would run out of issues first. His Audi always won so I resolved back in 1985 never to consider, let alone buy an Audi. Here I am 38 years later and the proud owner of a Q7 hybrid! Who would have known! We've had it just over a month and are finding the technological features on it mind-boggling but enjoyably convenient once mastered!
