where's the temp sensor on 30v V6?
I'm brand new to the site; looks like a great place to get some advice.
I've been driving Audi's for 24 years, yet have had just two. First was an '84 GT-coupe. Present ride is '98 A4 quattro which I bought new and still love.
I've seen the posts on the PO118 code, which my car has along with the symptoms of being stubborn about restarting after it's been run for awhile and shut off. I'm guessing when the temp sensor goes bad, the fuel management doesn't know when the engine is warm and gives it a cold-start fuel enrichening (which can flood the engine). When this happens, I crank it with the accelerator to the floor and then it starts.
The dealer wants $38 for the sensor, which seems ok. My question: Where is the sensor on the 30V V6?
