Just bought a 99 audi a6 with 2.5L crank no start. removed timing belt cover and found broken timing belt. Is this an interference motor? junk it or fix?

 

it's a 5 valve 2.8. it is possible the valves have bent unless you're very lucky. you need to buy a new belt reguardless so, put a belt on & see how it runs. if it runs like crap, & you have no compression & leak down test fails its bent. its not hard to do heads on those old engines. just get a cheap valve set up.
