Default Tinting in NJ

I'm looking for good auto tint shops around Hudson/Essex Co. area. I'd like to go with 35s all around but NJ law prohibits front tints, Idk if that's too dark, has anyone had problems with cops before regarding tint darkness?

I know a couple guys with tinted fronts. It depends on the cops around you. You may want to go a little lighter on the fronts and drive with your windows down a lot.

I think 50s should be fine all around... now for brands, 3M vs llumar, which is better? I know 3M makes some good products, I've never heard of llumar, but have been told they are good...

I just got my A4 tinted on Saturday. I went with 20% all the way around. So far I haven't had any problems but every car I have ever owned has had 20% tint all the way around(an automatic necessity). If you are in Essex Co, try a place called "CJ Motorsport". They're located in Newark on Elizabeth Ave. I've done a lot of business with them.

had mine done here -
Sound Waves
1200 US Highway 46
Parsippany NJ 07054-2154
Phone: 973-334-9283

20% all around - no problems with any cops so far (almost a year).

They did a great job - clean shop, very professional

Dude! 5% is like limo tints can you see any thing through the rearviews when you've got the windows up? So far no one has given me any tips on tints, just what they got, which is cool, but I'd like to know what's good and what sucks... 3M vs llumar? I know I shouldn't spend more than 200 bucks for tinting all around but the only thing that worries me is getting something that will fade and turn purple.
