Default 1985 Honda Prelude Carb issue

Cuz I'm to lazy to go anywhere else I'm hoping to see if anyone has experience with carbs...

it's a 1985 Prelude 1.8l with 60,000 miles. it's been sitting for about 7 years in a shop. I got it to run yey! BUT it only runs if the carbs are overflowing and dumping gas... (mounted sideways like a motorcycle) now if I get it where it should be where it's not dumping fuel it stutters and wont stay running. I can't find a carb rebuild kit for it, so any ideas?!?

Didja check the timing? Points? Needing to dump fuel to get it to run sounds more like a timing issue... At least, it used to be, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, and I first started piddling around with cars. Pull the rotor and see how clean it is. If its durty, hit it wit some steel-wool (so you don't scrape off any material using sandpaper). Inside the rotor-cap, too. Same deal.

I'm assuming you've pulled the plugs and checked teh gaps, already...

Dual carbs. This has now been placed on hold again >.< This car is owned by my wifes uncle, same guy that co-owns the Miata. He wanted the miata as a dd so I was going to get the prelude working for autox. NOW he bought an 02 or 03 corolla for a dd! So I made the agreement to get the prelude running in exchange for the 2nd 1/2 of the miata. BUT he didn't say yes and he didn't say no! I finally after much searching found a carb rebuild kit for it, that comes with everything for both carbs
