Living and driving in england was soo good compared to california, those shiny things and the things that flash on the sides of your car are there to be used, the use of freeway lanes are apparently all cruising lanes, used to be big on fliping people off, until i realised you flip the wrong person off and my corpse will be found in a truck stop dumpster, has a strangely calming effect. i still get pissed off with it but its not worth holding on to if blocking me in, or endangering yourself and others around you by shaving 20 seconds off your journey time turns your crank, makes you feel impowered as its the only place you got control in your fragile world, then rock on, may your bullet ridden sexually abused body be found in a dumpster, all cos you flipped of the wrong person, aaaahhhh, got that off my chest feels like i can drive another seven days on the roads, for the record as i recall driving in england wasnt all roses! this isnt a dig at anyone in particular, just felt like i needed to talk some crap. i may need therapy.

Well said.

This thread has turned rather ugly...but I'll ignore that for now.

Fast driving does not alway = unsafe driving....

Plenty of bad, unsafe drivers out there that adhere to the speed limit.

Driving in the passing lane and forcing all to drive at your speed is unsafe and totally uncalled for. It is also illegal in most states. Those signs that say keep right except to pass are not just informative...it is the law in many states...In fact in most of those states you can get a ticket for passing someone on the right.

So it just helps traffic move along, avoides congestion/traffic and ensures that all know what the traffic pattern is and adhere to it.
Not much different than expecting people to make a right hand turn from the right hand lane, or for people to know that in a traffic circle the people already in the circle have the right of way over people entering the circle.

So why not give your fellow drivers a break and adhere to the law and the common practice that is designed to make the highways safer.

If people feel that they want to be the speed limit enforcer, then become a traffic cop, or report speeders and/or unsafe drivers to the police...take down a license plate number....but don't clog the damn left lane!

Thank you for saying so much abacab.
I agree with you completely.

Fact is, I'm a bit of an abused dog, careful how you aproach me, but it's all a front for my soft little underbelly, I just wanna be loved. I just don't respond well to aggression. I don't get angry, I get calm and you get my full attention. But, just like The Art of War, I always leave you a retreat, maybe you should take it and let me go on my merry way.

I agree, I never said that I road rage, I don't. I do like to play, as long as it dosn't get too dangerous, especially for OTHER people.

Take a look at the picture of me and my wife. She's pregnant, 7 months now. And, I have 3 other sons who are 5, 7 and 9. Now, do I really look stupid, or do I look like some chatch that would drive insane and road rage. Do I look unreasonable? Do I look like someone stupid enough to jepordize all that he has just to be right, or just to prove a point? We were talking about something else here. We were talking about idiots and tyrants and road ragers and how to deal with them. I'm just not afraid of them or saying hi to them.

Yes, lets keep it friendly.

I swear, every time you open your mouth you sound more stupid. You call someone a tyrant because they won't let you in "your" god given lane? Poor thing. Traffic's not moving fast enough for you? Awwww.

Ok guys lets all have a pity part for SP4NK3R!! It's such an arduous pain to have to drive with all of us slow drivers.

Driving fast is not hurting anyone? HA! Tell that to my buddy's grandma who was killed by someone like yourself who thinks it's ok to drive recklessly.

There is a name for people like you on the forums. It's called a troll. Ok let's review what a troll is shall we?

An "Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" is a person who posts outrageous message to bait people to answer. Forum Troll delights in sowing discord on the forums. A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion. Flaming discussions usually end with name calling and a flame war.

Ok now that you've gotten a rise out of me you've actually probably won, well in your mind anyway. But whatever, don't expect me to reply to you next line of drivel.
What'ya say we sit down some time over a cup of coffee and try to work it out.
I'm simply not interested in continueing on this path either.
I have my opinions about you but I'm willing to be civil.
Maybe we'll get a chance to meet sometime if that cannonball run thing ever happens and then we could develope informed opinions of each other.
Yes?[sm=chattypair.gif]

Sanker..Not sure what you look like has anything to do with temperment... But, if you like getting back at people, and following up on other drivers bad behaviour, then you may one day have to face the concequences, especially with the amount of nuts in the US, that also carry a gun on their person. One day, you , your lovely wife, and your chidlren, may have to come face to face with a beligerent sod, who will not let it pass.
just take the easy, mans route, and let it go over your head. its much easier to let things slide, and lead an easy existence, rather than leading yourself off into a situation that you do not know the result of... Just my twopence...

Could not agree more.

When I look back at all the times I have lost it due to some other persons stupidity or neglect, it makes me sick thinking about all of my time and energy wasted over things I never had any control or influence over. I'm still far from perfect (ha, see my other thread, d'oh) but I am starting to see the light, and it is a much better place. I am fed up of being so tightly wound.
