i'm sure you weren't being facetious when he approached the car.

whatever, your last couple posts speak for themselves. i just hope that the "power hungry azzhole" notahondaowner doesn't *waste* anymore of his time providing us "regular humans" with the opportunity to ask him any questions.

Random question that should not have been asked.
edit- Baconbait
In general we will treat people as they treat us. The only time I'm curt with someone is when they are giving me crap. If your story is true about being pulled over for no front tag and those things were saidI find itsad that the officer is ruining his department's image. Let's keep this thread on topic. We could sit here all day and go back forth between people who have had good and bad police experiences, that is not what this thread is for.

I <3 this thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
I've got a bunch of questions, as I use to be an a$$, but have become incredibly full of respect for officers, especially for a situation that happened last week over a missing friend.I'll start with the asshat questions that make me sound like a dousche and move to less asshat questions.
1.) Generally, what seems to be the opinion that police officers have if they find a pot pipe ina car when someone reaches for their registration in the glove box? How likely are they to bust them for it? (Riding in a buddy's car, he had me grab the reg as soon as the police car was behind him because of this.)
2.) How often do you feel cars are pulled over for what they are?Tuned, dropped BMWdoing 65 in a 55 vs Honda Passport doing 65 in a 55.
3.)Do you take offense to someonepassing you slowly?
4.) Are there stereos in the patrol cars? Cause there isn't in Grand Theft Auto...
5.)To become a police officer, how physical does one have to be? I'm 5'5", small/medium frame, 120 lbs...

I'm not a police officer but common sense would tell me to keep those two items separate from each other. Just some advice for your friend. And my dad was a police officer but wasn't a very big guy (5'7" 180 lbs) and he knows some moves that have brought me to the ground many times (only when I asked him what kind of defensive moves they taught him, he doesn't run around knocking me to the ground whenever he feels like it). So I bet if you went into the academy they'd teach you techniques to help you take down big guys. But I'm sure Notahondaowner can give you some better answers.

Glad you like the thread. I always enjoy helping people to understand our job, makes things go smoothly for future encounters.

1= Most officers will arrest you for it IF it has been used and has marijuana residue, else it is still considered a "tobacco pipe". This is drug paraphernalia. You wild be hard pressed to find an officer who wouldn't charge you. Whether or not I would, I can't say. Something like this is small, most departments issue criminal citations for this, no physical arrest.

2= Profiling cars can be pointless. The other day I ran a brand new Audi for fun and it came back with a tag pick up order so I had to take the tags and tow the car because they were uninsured. Nice cars often are in violation because people fall back on their large payments, older cars are often in violation because they aren't kept up to code. You can go either direction when looking at cars.

3= Nope

4= Yes, you can often hear my country music in the back ground when I am answering for calls.

5= We have officers of all sizes. We are taught extensive ground fighting and defensive techniques in academy. The best experience you will get on the road, on average I have to struggle with 1-3 people a week.

So I got pulled over yesterday again for my license plate this time the guy was a nicer state trooper, but he gave me a non fix it ticket of 97 dollars for not displaying plates on both front and back. after he gave me the ticket he asked if I had any questions and I asked him if he thought the ticket was fair. He said that he had no option but to site me. Anyway I have another question. In my case I got pulled over two days ago and he told me to put my font plate on. I got pulled over yesterday and got a ticket for no plate. So my question is to poilice like put into your "system" like warnings that they have given out so that if another cop sees that they have been warned then they like just give out a ticket because I was already warned or is there no recording of warnings?

Warnings are not kept track of, it is best to heed them. Had you listened to the previous officer you wouldn't have gotten the ticket.

It is the sate law, it is a fair ticket. This law exists so other drivers can more easily identify cars that may be involved in crimes etc. Every traffic law has a purpose.

Every ticket you get is kept track of regardless of the infraction or if you paid them.
