Default RE: career?

when i got out of high school, i try to take a short cut by getting certifications in the computer network field...but in the long wrong i am went back to college and i'm finishing my BA.sometimes i ask my self if i would of been better off if i went straight to college. I also try to start my own business and it was hard...i found my self doing things out of my field. if you have the money to pay people to help u run the business is ok, but if your going to start if from scratch...its hard, i found my self doing marketing, web develpment, reading about taxes, profit margin......and so on...really think about it. Go to college and from there find your nicth...
Good luck.

Not to sound like a recruiter or anything, but have you thought about the military? The Air National Guard has opened many many windows for me. 4 years of 100% free college and a job whenever I wanted it, plus i've visited over 10 countries.

why spend $75,000 on a piece of paper i probably won't use?
You learned to think to a certain level in high school. If you apply yourself, you could take that level of thinking to entirely new levels. College may also open up the world to you in a way that it is not open to you now. In short, it's not all about a piece of paper. It is about developing skills that will help you in life no matter what you do - even if it is selling cars. If you want to sell nice cars, then you need to be able to relate well to your customers - and they will have college degrees.

I don't know how to tell you the best way to break into the car selling biz, but I know that you will always make more money with a degree.

A lot of teh higher end jobs REQUIRE a college degree, so u could be a sales man, but never make it to manager of the dealership who prolly make 6 figures, (especially if high end cars). I know that to be a manager at the Olive Garden u need a degree, and even they make 6 figures. Not even district manager just the manager of the restraunt. Bottom line go to a 4yr college,a nd take that time to decide what to be.

Whatever. Do managers at Krispy Cream also make $100K or is this only common at the Olive Garden? At least Krispy Creme produces something edible. Those guys deserve more.
