Default Dealer Loaner Car Q5 - Should I Buy It?

New here, hello. Considering buying a 2012 Q5 2.0T with 19,000 miles. Looks to be in excellent condition; It is CPO. I trust the dealer, have purchased 2 cars there previously.

Question is, how much less (if at all) is a dealer loaner car worth than a one-owner used car? KBB on the car is about $39,500. Any help is appreciated.

Well, they'll definitely have full service history. It'd be kinda like buying rental-car, except with a batter class of losers driving it, value-wise. If the mileage is low and the deal were otherwise financially good, I'd pwn that puppy (don't forget the carfax).

if it's CPO, then obviously, it's gone thru the 300 point inspection. so you're probably safe.

i don't think it's value is depreciated any more or less because it's a loaner car.
only thing is.....you have to know that most of the people who drove it probably returned it with a full tank of regular and not premium gas.

that probably doesn't matter too much as long as you're going to start using the recommended grade from here on out.

my TTRS is currently in the shop and they gave me a 2013 A6 with all the bells and whistles. it's a nice change of pace to drive a luxury car rather than a sports car...but I ain't gonna be buying it any time soon! and YES, i'll be filling the gas with regular, not premium.
