I'm pretty sure that nowhere in my comment did I say "Sarah7106 is an ignorant racist". Frankly I couldn't give a rat's *** how you feel about race. My point was the whole "wheres my TV station" thing is ridiculous. Like I said before everyone is entitled to their own opinion...
I take pride in being very openminded and understanding. I've been acquainted with many different cultures, heard different viewpoints, and seen different perspectives on life. I've experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly of human nature worldwide. I'm not perfect but believe me I'm far from ignorant, and definitely not naive.

No but I was the only one who was ever told they were "border line racist" so common sense makes me think you were talking about me when you say ignorant racist. Oh well I guess I could be worse things than a racist......I could be a crack ***** or a national terrorist.

Lazy and shiftless, and willing to take advantage of a system aren't delineated by race. Neither is murder. As I said, if the comments had stayed on topic, so would I have. I am prolly one of the most tolert people on the boards, as many who have been around fora minit can attest. But, people who complain about their "lot-in-life" get no sympathy from me. This lack of concern for whiners ALSO knows no racial boundaries.

BETisone tv STATION, among HOW MANY predominately white ones? Waaaaaaaa...

Affirmative action helps 1/10-th of 1% of college-bound minorities secure a seat at the table. Waaaaaaaa... BTW, Sarah, those same A-A rules apply to you, as a Woman. Why don't you use them?

And, Palindari, while I do sincerely hope that these people recieve something akin to being drawn and quartered, I wonder if you will also pick up the mantle of minority children who come up missing, yet recieve virtually NO national coverage,NO media outcry, and NO public outrage. When we, as a nation, achieve that, I'll personally campaign against ALL forms of descrimination, including affirmative-action AND racial-profiling (something I have one on record as supporting, I might add).

BTW I'm not whining about being a woman......I proud to be a woman. But I am pointing out an obvious fact that you overlooked. You act like blacks are the only ones descriminated against and that's just not the case. And I don't take advantage of Affirmative action cause I've never heard of it til' now.

EDIT: Oh and if your insinuating that I haven't taken advantage of affirmative action cause I don't have a well respected job or have a nice income.......well you'd be wrong on both of those, buddy. I am 20 years old and I have graduated from college. I have a degree in computers and I have been working for Lexmark since I was just 18 years old.

No, you misconstrue.

1) I was rebutting comments to the effect that BET and A-A are baseless in their conception. They are not.
2) I was pointing out that you, as a Woman, are as equally entitled to preferential treatment as many of us (not just Blacks, which, honestly, only slimly applies to me, BUT, when people look at me they do not see my Aboriginal-American roots, nor my Dutch ancestry) here on AF are entitled to.
3) I NEVER insinuate. There was nothing in anything I said (typed) that even remotely hinted at: age/education/employment. Do you assume that someone who qualifies under some sort of A-A umbrella can only achieve a college degree and employment because of it? Because that wha it seems as if YOU are insinuating, even though I know that is NOT the point you were pressing. *I* would never presume to assign any sort of meaning to your words aside from what you type. I could, as you can see, but I don't. So, please do not disrepect MY opinion by treating MY words in such a slap-dash manner.

I said IF you are......I never said you are. Sure you could misconstrue the meaning of my words, which it seems that I have done with yours, but it seems that you know the proper meaning of my words so you choose not to. I am sorry to assign meaning to your words.

EDIT.....oh and BTW I know of many ppl that go through college and get high paying jobs and don't need any A-A umbrella to help get them there.

I'm gonna start posting topics that say DON'T READ THIS........then that way everyone will and whatever I have to say will be instantly important.

Not that what the original post said wasn't important......I just find it funny that the topic says don't read this.......and now it's a hot topic for something that shoulda never been read.
