Default fing car insurance

So here is the low down... I just turned 25 perfect driving record no tickets no accidents nothing (knock on wood) my whole life I have been told once you turn 25 your insurance premium drops. So I call up nationwide and the lady tells me "that is only in certain states and Virginia isnt one of those states. In Virginia your rates will drop once you turn 30 or get married" Well f that I am not getting married anytime soon and i dont plan on turning thirty for at least 5 more years.

My rates are lower than they were in MD which is nice but I was really looking forward to that drop. Have people heard the same thing or was my insurance agent just feeding me a boat load of crap.

Thanks for the Help advice

I'm not sure. Here in NY the drop age is 25. Before that, I was paying $130/month for full coverage on my 300ZX. When I turned 25, that dropped to $67/month. Call a few other insurers and get quotes from them, and ask about the age drop. FWIW, I'm with State Farm and they honor the age 25 drop. It may even be something that the company controls - seems strange that the state could dictate what they charge, so I'd bet it's a policy of your insurance company, not the fact that you live in VA.

Welcome to Massachusetts lol, good thing thats changing soon. I've always heard that rates drop once you turn 25, I know one of my cousins just turned 25 and he was looking forward to the drop.

Maybe you could turn 30 a few years earlier?

No seriously though, rates can be dependent upon where you live, but I'd call around and get some other quotes to make sure you're getting a decent rate.

I'd rather pay the higher insurance premiums.

LOL - as a guy at work said, why bother getting married? Save the hassle - just find a woman you hate and buy her a house.

insurance companies are a bothersome group... here in ontario, canada when you have a school average over 75% you get a discount, but when you get your G license (we have G1, G2, and lastly G) you dont get a discount... basically what they are saying is smart people can drive, people who prove their driving skills in a test cant drive as well.
