So right now im sitting pretty at stage 2 with my car and i have no intentions on doing a big turbo kit since my car is just not worth that kind of money to me anymore but i got everything else done that you can pretty much do with the Ko3 system.

blah blah blah.. so right now im itchin to do something more but the only thing that im looking at on my car that i dont like are the lowers and valance's. Instead of doing the same old thing andpaint them the same color as the car(and pretend to be an S4, cause in reality thats why people want it) what about just repainting them in a nice deep black with some shiny clearcoat that way it will still look like the a4 and at the same time give the appearence of an aftermarket kit. anyone seen or done this?

 

Meh, you say people paint the lowers to look like an S4 but I think it just gives the car a lower look with better lines. Just my .02. Some people may be going for the S4 but that's why I would paint the lowers. I say go for it and see how it looks. It can't be any worse than stock lowers.

 

i agree, i dont think people want their a4s to look like s4s...it just looks way better. youd have to get the sideskirts and bumper to make it look like an s4, and i guarantee that once someone DOES do that they wont re-badge with the s badge.. no posers on here. repainting black would be a waste of money but its your car

 

its not just repainting its also adding clear to the lowers as well...

and im not saying ppl who paint there lowers are posers but come on it is the first thing when looking at either one car that distinguishes the A4 from the S4 and is the main thing that shows why one car is better looking than the other. Im a model purist. i feel its the same as painting racing stripes on a muscle car when the manufacturer created a separate model that was better tuned with them standard.

 

i repainted the lowers on my TT once they started chipping. very easy. and looks great
