Ok, not to take away from your rant, because door dings suck, but the parking on two spaces thing is like a red flag to some people. In my old office, our parking was very crowded. This guy used to always park in the middle of 2 spaces in his Z3. When the parking lot was crowded, I'd pull my Miata in to the space right next to him. Used to drive him crazy! I just loved doing it to say "if you're that scared someone will hit your car, leave it at home". Car ownership=door dings. Sorry.
