Guy wants to buy my car... but WHAT?
This is a weird one.....but not sure if it is a scam or not. If you want the money up front, forget it. But if you want to make some cash, it's not much different from used car dealers that "self-finance" used cars. Hold the title and charge him like 25% APR interest on the asking price and have his mother co-sign a contract. Check out both of their credits.
Just a thought.

Do u have a problem with everyone, u never add anything decent to any post, u just come a post ur sarcasm.
im going to have to chime in here, and say this...
APG, not everyones parents will co-sign or buy you a car, sometimes you do have to buy things on your own.

i didnt say anything about it being this post but in the past weeks i havnt seen a decent quote from him, and for the thousandth time i bought my audi! Its called ahving a job and saving.
i like how u just feel into a stereotype, simply b/c im 18 and live in so cal, i have a rich mommy and daddy that give me what ever i want. I will be the first to say i have a decent life, and that i never have to worry about getting food (b/c there is no money, sometimes no one makes dinner) but i am no where near a rich kid, better check ur stereotype. My only pt, is that any kid that says hell pay u and try to do a deal would most likely go to have their parents co-sign on a bank financing, if he was able to pay for it.
Im also not the only kid that is under 25 on here with a car, but i bet im one of a few that actually paid for the car (ill admit my parents register and pay insurance for me). The biggest thing i hate is that fvcking tv shows that glamourize (sp?) life in so cal. Its not like its in the movies, sure the parties are pretty close but thats about it. I know kids that have cars and parents are on a 3rd mortage. In CA u need a car to go pretty much anywhere b/c the buses here suck and never go anywhere u want to go. I understand most ppl dont drive audis either, but they all do drive cars. Its not like if i lived where there was subways and buses that i would drive.

u shake ur head, but if it was legit, he would have done it that way, or even since hes 18 they can just co-sign on the financing of the car.

I sympathize with the guy if its above board but I wouldn't do a deal like that there are too many exits in it and you could lose the car and the money,
there are dealers out there that could sort an agreement out with the guy in a more legal way that he will have to keep up the payments.
personally I wouldn't touch that sort of deal with a barge pole
