Default Manual vs Dual Clutch (S-Tronic) upgrades?

so I'm really excited about the S1 and R4... I plan to trade in my A4 and get one (maybe the R4 depending on the price) as soon as its released... but the only reason I would get these is for performance upgrades... But I would get them in S-Tronic (I drive in a lot of traffic)... so my question is.... Can you do the same mods to a S-Tronic car that you would be able to do on a regular manual car (turbo of course)?

If not then i'm just gonna stick with luxury gettin an A5 this year....

Yea you should be able to. I'm also really excited about the R4. The TT S and RS are great cars. But a proper midengine car with rear wheel bias, unlike the fwd TT haldex setup, and better weight distribution sounds more attractive. The main rival is gonna be the cayman so ofcourse it's gonna be overpriced. It won't be out for quiet a while, I'd lease the A5 till the R4 arrives.

hmmm great idea.... I'm gonna get myself 100% out of debt (including car loan) and save 5k by the beginning of 2010 and then I'll jump into the A5 lease (if the A1 or R4 isn't out by then) then I'll just switch cars whenever I want... hmmmm

You can do the same mods to an auto car as a manual. But I highly doubt either car will have an S-Tronic auto. They will almost undoubtedly be DSG's or true manuals.

^ Touche. I don't own my Audi anymore, and haven't been around in a while. Thanx for that bit of info.

As for it competing w/ the Cayman, I doubt it. Porsche has a strong enough voice in AG that they aren't going to let Audi develop a car that will encroach on their market share. The top-level R4 may obe close to Cayman/Boxster territory, but the money-maker model will be slotted considerably lower.....
