Default models with dual clutch

Okay so my friend has a 07 2.0 tfsi A4 with fwd and he also claims that it has a dual clutch/S tronic but I was unsure about that. I thought that the b7's didnt have the dual clutch option? Am I right? To my knowledge they only offered a 7 spd CVT and 6 spd manual.

Correct, no dual clutch on the B7. His S-Tronic is actually multitronic, the 7 speed CVT.

A3 has the DSG tranny. What a bad *** tranny that is. He has the puke CVT.

The best tranny they had for the B7 was the 6sp manual. I do not think the B8 has the DSG either.

CVT sucks for reliability........ the DSG sucks for performance. An automatic with a built in shift delay and it eats mechatronic (valve bodies) all day long.

I have to agree...... the 6spd manual is a beast.
