Hmm, looks like the president/owner of VW is just trying to increase his stake in the company through his family. This could be good/bad since it will be his vision that determines what happens in the future. Lets just hope he isn't crazy.

I could see that being good for Audi. Maybe, they'd do away with VW and just run Audi and Porsche. Of course, I dont know what sells more, VW or Audi, so that would be a determining factor as well. I just hope if that all falls through that they keep Audis going.

I think VW sales far out number Audi sales. It's a much larger company that produces less expensive cars.

I don't know if this would be a good thing or not. From what I've read not all Piech and Porsche family members are created equal. Like every family, some are smarter/better than others. It could start off ok, but then take a turn for the worse down the road.

I could see this stiffling the R8 future production. That is if it takes market share away from the porsche they might not see it worth while to make a new one 5-7 years down the road.

I wonder wat BMW thinks of all this? If Porsche takes VAG wat does it mean for Lambo?

And also BMW will be trying to compete agianst a huge company thats superior not just in volume but also technology.
