Enjoying my cup before bed.
Zimbabwe beans are really smooth. Typically roasted medium-dark. Its a very well balanced flavor, a little on the earthy side and not too acidic. Its my second favorite to guatemalan beans, which are bar none the best damn coffee beans I think I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying- which speaking of, is exactly what I started today with

Fly to Wuste if you have to. Or get a lift with someone in a more comfortable ride lol

Monday sucked. Absolutely terrible start to the week. I was definitely not sad to see it trail off into the ether's of the past. Somehow, installing my downpipe Sunday night led to a coilpack failure at about 1 am Monday morning. Thankfully, when it blew, I was just around the corner from a friend's place that I was able to limp to running on only 3 cylinders to begin diagnosis leading to the conclusion that it was the coil. Not being able to drive it, I stayed at that friend's house and had to call into work that I'd be taking my personal day (which wasn't so bad, my office just prefers to have a little advance notice on taking a personal day, rather than barely an hour before I'm supposed to be there, so making that call was unnerving and not what I wanted to do first thing of the week) to get my car back up and running, cuz not having a car is not an option for me- both my jobs are about a 15-20 mile commute from my house, so I had to take care of it asap.

But yea, got a new coil in there and she's running like a top again For not being tuned, I still can tell a pretty appreciable difference in the way she pulls with the HFC/downpipe. The tone is a little raspy under load, but not overly unbearable- certainly not the ideal tone I'd actually want to keep, but it'll do til I can scrape up enough coin to do the custom catback I want I'll try to get up a video sometime soon to share the noize

I gotta try that roast soon. It sounds delicious.

Haha. I'm thinking of flying. I thought about it and it isn't that fun during a lowered car for that long - I know it isn't that long of a drive from SoCal but with a low car, it's a pain in the ***. Plus the heat soak and everything - fun stuff.

It's Friday before Christmas. I hope you guys are ready for it. Drinking my Christmas blend and enjoying the semi cold weather.

Since I'm sick of the wife knowing, or guessing, what's in her Christmas presents, I decided to go stealth mode this year. A new phone case: in a DirecTV receiver box with about 10 college school books. Thing weighs a ton. A new pair of Coach shoes? It's in a weed eater box, stuffed with a bunch of my old cammies so nothing rattling around... New iPad mini? Not even under the tree yet.... that one's from Santa.

What about the kids, you ask? Every year, we put presents under the tree with no names on them. They're just color coded. So you can shake it all you want, it might not even be your present!

So, I'm sitting on the couch, enjoying cup number 1 (Sumatra K-cup) next to the tree. I'm excited about Christmas this year.

Oh, and I have the next 4 days off, followed by 3 "half days" and another 4 days off! It's like being on vacation without using leave days (vacation days). Have a great weekend e'ryone.

Gonna' microwave some of yesterday's leftover Maxwell House, take my new to me B6 up for a state inspection, and then sit down and read / research a little.

Still doing the usual, a cup before PT in the quiet of the house... A cup after PT, when it's not nearly as quiet.
