0430 in Iraq (that's 4:30 a.m. for you civilians). Early dawn, it's just starting to break light. Today's forcast for northern Iraq, about 102 degrees and, you guessed it, SUNNY!

Just came back from Green Beans, the best coffee in Iraq. Today I'm having a small espresso chai latte with 3 shots of espresso. These things are my little slice of heaven, on an otherwise hell on earth. But, today is June 1st. I can officially say, I'll be home next month!

I had a Mocha Frappe with 4 shot espresso yesterday, and it put me to sleep. I went to sleep 3 hours earlier than normal! Today was my espresso chai, and now I'm chugging a sugar free Rockstar to finish out the last hour and change of my shift...

2130 (9:30 pm) and I just had my first coffee of the shift. Actually, it was a canned triple shot iced coffee, kinda like a starbucks double shot, but bigger.

For those who've been there, you know what I'm talking about when I say SHOCK COFFEE FTW!

 

That's the stuff, but we only get the tiny 8 ounce cans... I can't live without it!

 

I haven't had a single cup today! I'm jittery as f*ck.

 

Finally my first cup of coffee today.

I went a day without caffeine yesterday. It was awesome.

 

I'm sensing sarcasm on the "awesome" part... How did you do it? A day without caffine is like a day without sun! You know what they call that? Alaska! Or night shift
