Much fun on lunch break today:)
Had a lot of fun on my lunch break today. Instead of staying at work for this
I left to go here.
But the fun part was, instead of driving one of these like usual
I got to take this
My friend at work just came back from a weekend trip to Houston to pick up the car. It's a bone-stock, absolutely immaculate 91 NSX with 32k miles on it. It's the third time I've driven an NSX (it's been about six years since the last time) and despite many times driving or riding in cars much faster than an NSX, it's still such an incredible car to drive. If you have the chance, take it and get behind the wheel.
It'll make a nice addition to his collection too - he's got a 94 or 95 Viper RT/10 (whichever was the last year with sidepipes for the Gen 1 cars). He's also got a 3000GT VR4, three classic Jaguars, and nine classic Mustangs including a jaw-dropper of a 60s Shelby repro. And each car is immaculate inside and out and in pristine running shape. He rotates between those cars on a regular basis, so you never know what's gonna be parked out there when you pull in. Must be nice
Anyhow, that was the highlight of my workday. Funny how a 17-year-old car made a 17-year-old kid in the drive-thru window at Wendy's almost fall out the window when I pulled up

RE: Much fun on lunch break today:)
LOL, me too Yep, I took it down Main Street to Wendy's and back. Of course I got to get on the highway for a quick sprint on the way back. However, I behaved. I was good on the S-ramp leading onto 17W (at Airport Rd for you locals), and ran it up to a quick 90 or so, then backed off for the rest of the cruise back. He's a cool guy, and he's got money to spare, no doubt. I used to let him run my Z from time to time, so this was a sort of payback. Next up, I want to take a run with the Viper
