I work in Boca Raton, FL...home of rich people with way too much money, fat wallets, and fatter egos....I was mindin my business at a red light, on my way to pick up a juicy Steak 'n Cheese Sub, when some 30-somethin toughguy pulls next to me...he looked over from his (very f'n nice) clk500 and gives me a little rev...green light hits and we launched...all i know is, i slowed down at the stop light before him..and he proceeded to run the light...(think he was pissed)...what a p*ssy

2001.5 S4 bone stock...so i'm not sure how i pulled this one off...clk500 has more horsepower, more torque...maybe the guy was a d*ck and didn't know how to drive...probably an auto anyways..

 

Maybe it was a mid 90s model, that is the only feasible explanation. He would literally burn you if he was in a newer clk.

 

I agree...i'm not sure how far back the clk500 goes into the 90's though...hey..we all get lucky I guess. It might be a faster car, but it wasn't that day...

 

all mercedes are autos unless u get them specialy shipped or somethin i believe. But the C230 kompressers come in a 5 speed though

CLK 500s started in 03. Before 03 CLK's used the 4.3 liter or "430' engine. CLK's are quite heavy.. around 3400 lbs. The auto box that mbz uses is very good, when you put your foot down, this thing redlines right to the sweet spot. If he started moving slowly and then hit it, he got stuck in second, tranny wont downshift to first after you move..

 

Kompressors come in 6 speed starting in 00 or 01 I believe. And a few scattered AMG's have manuals.
