NEED HELP: Hooking up my tv to my surround!!!

Is the receiver set have the digital coax input as the AUX input?
On mine i can go into a settings menu and choose what input (either COAX or Optical) i want for any of the following inputs (TV, DVD, CD, etc.) and re-order them as i choose.
try the receiver and see what function that input is tied to and see if you can change that coax input to match up with the AUX, or TV if you have it on your receiver

try messing with the input signal on your tv. usually newer tvs have between 5 and 8 different inputs. Just flip threw them and wait for 10 seconds to see if u get any sound outta the other inputs. when i ran rca's i was on input one and after i did the hdmi and digital i had to watch my tv on input 5.

TV=Orange=Digital Coax
connect to this

then plug rca to a/v in of receiver red/white obviously there is nothing for yellow since its only sound
Now understand you are downgrading the sound a bit since your surrrond sound doesn't have a digital coax/optical in.
Option 2:
If your source is a direct tv or cable box simply plug in your rca a/v to receiver a/v in and use the a/v out to tv
Option 3: Get a better receiver with optical/digital coax in
Hope it works now

Did you get it to work?
I was hooking up my gf's new TV this weekend and noticed that there is no audio out at all (besides digital fiber optic). You basically have to use the audio-out of the cable box, which in some cases means that you'll never have the option to just use the TV's speakers.
