Why did you purchase an Audi over a BMW?

A4 was cheaper and easier to find and MPG was better + it has Quattro on most cars out there.

That's not what my statement was implying, but if that's how you feel...

I've never really felt the need to compare the two, but for someone with a $15k budget I've found that BMW outperforms Audi. Sure, I could've bought an S4 with my money, and it would've been faster, but it also would've been older, likely have higher mileage, and there wouldn't be any comparison when it comes to reliability.

I was in the market for a 540i six-speed (around a 2000 or 2001), but got my A4 because it was locally owned by a coworker who took extremely good care of it and he sold it to me for a song. At the price I paid, there was no way I'd have passed on it - hell even if I'd bought the 540i I'd have still picked it up. Glad I did too

Look, if you really want to know why a lot of us purchased Audis, do yourself a favor and check out the Secrets of Speed sticky and the top of the OT page. Watch the video and realize.
