i decided i didn't want to spend close to a grand for bass, so i went with a RF punch series sub and amp combo...my brother just got a truck though and he can't fit his 12 behind the bench seat, so he's trading me my RF 10 for his JL 12W0

Sounds good. I'm no audio expert, but I know what you were talking about (a year ago) about wanting punchy bass and not some vehicle vibrator. I've got a pair of 8in subs mounted in the floor directly behind driver and passenger seats in my 911 and it has great punch and this bass is pretty much contained in the car. This install kept me from having to remove the rear seats, keeps the system stealthy and it actually kicks your *** while driving down the road. I would think that a pickup could have a similar style install right behind the driver's seat. Anyway, all that to say that I am impressed with small dedicated subs for punch/clarity over the larger subs I've owned in the past.
