I'm in the market for a luxury sedan to replace my current ride and stumbled across the 2003 RS6, which I've now become infatuated with. Searched the web and forums to learn that it's a fantastic super-sedan, but haven't found much about what to look for when buying one.

So ... what is stock and what is optional? What are the most common and/or desireable options? What colors were they made in and what are the most rare colors? Are there any common problems? What service items should I see if the owner has done? Any forums and/or links I should read? Is it as expensive to maintain as I think it will be?
