I had the pleasure of spending a little time on the Mid Ohio race course with my recently purchased 07 RS4 this past weekend. Once I made the mental adjustment from driving a dedicated track car (944T), I had a blast. The power was awsome and the AWD system let me get on the gas early through the corners and just rocket down the straights. The stock street tires squealed like four fat pigs but held on like champs.

However, after about 6-7 hot laps, the brakes began to overheat and my braking ability went away quickly. It was then I decided to park it and go get the race car.

Its about time to change-out the brake pads anyway, so I'll probably go with something a little more agressive than stock (Hawk HP+) - because I know its only a matter of time before I get this beast on the track again.
