^ I agree with you about the price and the vw part same motor in alot of the cars they make. I have only seen the turbos in pairs unless one was broke and needed a rebuild then you could get them single. Yea the k04 for the 1.8 or 2.0T has different piping on the intake so that kind of kills it for us, stupid BW thinking about making money hahaha. I will look for the part number good luck with tuning.

well I'm in Mississippi about 20 minutes from the Alabama state line exactly 180 Miles from the new APR HQ. Maybe I get them to work with me on the tuning.

Ok, finding these turbos by themselves is proving to bemore difficult than I originally expected. If I can't find them by tonight, I'll call a dealer tomorrow to get the part numbers.

Let me get this straight. Are the turbos from the RS4 a direct bolt on? And they are K04s?

They are the same turbos from an RS4 but you will also need new piping to get them to bolt up to our motor.

^don't do that tho, get proper k04 inlet and outlet pipping, when you start pushing 20 psi or more in the intake system you don't want silicone hoses every-other corner

honestly, you buy an S4, do it right

Well, the turbos won't be a problem then.

"Avalon offers an RSK04 turbo upgrade with installation hardware, including silicone hoses and a Bosch FPR for $2575. Software is available on request at additional cost. Avalon also offers RS4 engine conversions, but prices vary with exchange rates."-eurotuner

APR and some injectors and Shazzaaam!

this was a nice little read! I can feel my "chi" getting better already

"Those wanting larger turbos should consider ASP's 85 and 90mm MAF housings for $330 and $389 respectively, allowing for custom tuning."-eurotuner

Now, what vehicle is ASP pulling these two housings off of to re-sell them to us? That's the question. Does anyone have one of these MAFs?
