I've narrowed down to either an 03 M5 or 04-06 S4 sedan or avant, I've had 3 BMW's a 96 328i, 98 M3 sedan, 01 330i, and currently have an 04 Volvo V 70R all manuals, I lightly modded all of them with intake, exhaust, suspension, and track a couple times a year.

I am having a midlife torque crisis so a V8 is in order, how do the S4's hold up to daily thrashing? I miss the cold air on face warm air on feet of BMW's do S4's have that feature?

Some 05's have the new snout and some don't, was there a cut off date, anything more than cosmetics between the obvious, steering wheel, nose etc.? Any drawbacks to the Avant vs the sedan?
