'04 S4 Advice?
My friend is looking at a 2004 S4 with 60k miles on it...
What do you guys think of that many miles on this year? I heard there were engine issues with some of them in 2004, anyone know details??

its def high on miles..but not unrealistic... could be 20k a year... if he got it early.
early build 04's did have soem engine issues.. i dont know exactly what the problem was..but it was something like a seal would break and leak oil and burn it out i believe.. something like that.. but none the less it resulted in needing a new engine. however..if its at 60..it may already be past that point..not sure.

I just traded in my B6.
I had bought it Certified when I traded my B5.
It had 29k on it.
I managed to run it to 57K in a year and a half.
The engine was clean and car was AUDI Serviced its whole life.
I was given $30K on the trade-in and just saw it on their lot spiff'd up and asking just shy of $38K.
The only engine problems I encountered were coil wires going bad on two separate occasions and making a cylinder miss.
Otherwise, that engine was a torquey bast***.
I loved the car as much as my B5.
And almost as much as the new B7 that graces my garage.
