ORIGINAL: hyperlight900

hey does your short shifter still retain the stock push down for reverse thing?
Yes it sure does. That was one of the hardest parts about the design.

We are almost done with the first prototype and it should be in a local guys car within a few days. I will save your info and let you know when it is available.

Update: To make a long story short, I received a lot of feedback from the Audi community and made a better deal with my machinist. So I dropped the price dramatically to where I wanted it to be in the first place.
Thanks again guys for the support.

I'll agree with roadhawk, looks like a nice unit. Just got the B&M in mine as well and love it, less play and a shorter shaft and throw. Plus a little cheaper. Maybe someday if I get into dragging the car on a regular basis.

You won't be dissapointed. The biggest thing is the increased feel, you really know when you put it in gear, which makes it harder to miss and grind.

I deffinatly go for function over comfort. I would rather have a bouncyish suspension, noisy cabin, notchy transmission in a car than soggy everything. I think it gives more of the race car feel plus in a soggy sloshy car you dont really know what is going on around you.
