2 noob questions
1) I just bought a 2000 S4 with 104k miles. I am now the third owner of the car and itsupposedly had the original timing belt, so obviously I changed it the moment I got it home. The belt thatI pulled from the car had yellow numbers witha Dayco stamp and an Audi stamp. Does anyone know if that is the OEM belt from Audi?
2) Has anyone tried piggies on a stock ECU car? Any gains? Every search I did shows that people are running them on chipped cars. Given the mileage on the car, I was panning on the Darintake, DP’s and maybe an exhaust instead of more boost for now. I’ll add boost when I get new turbos;I'm already hearing the police siren sound at 2k rpms from the K03's.
Thanks

Artip, I see your point, K04's are scheduled for the winter.I was planning on fabbing my own pipes, so the cost impact is minimal for the DP's and I'll want them with the K04's anyway. Also, the siren sound isfaint and only around 2k rpms with partial throttle when the car is cold.(I have heard that it is common)I may just fab the pipes and post the results.
Doing downpipes now would be fine. You probably won't notice anything, maybe a slightly faster spool up but I doubt it. They do need to be done sometime cause if you push anything else with the car it isa good idea which it sounds like you are aware. They are a huge pain in *** to get out so honestly I would wait till I was swapping in k04s then I would do it. I don't think you are going to want to try unbolting them twice this year. I agree with you on the chip, I wouldn't do it if you think your turbo's are going. They won't last half as long as they might now. Some may disagree but They don't need to be pushed. Good luck.
mine does the siren sound as well when cold at low speed... I wouldnt worry too much, it seems to be common, just have the coin in teh bank for that day... or go and buy the K04's and put your mind at ease. I just take it easy on mine until the oil temp isaround 175.
