I always thought the ESP button was 01.5 and 02 ONLY but changing the S4 logo's on the steering wheel and dash would be a pain.. So, ESP button or newer logo's...

i know for sure 01.5 and 02 have esp.. but im not sure if that was changed for the 01 or 01.5 as well.. I think the 01 didnt have it..but im not positive..

My S4 must be right on the cusp. I have ESP (though I almost always trun it off unless it is wet out...) - but I had to go with the B&M SS which indicates a pre-01.5 I believe. I'll have to check my build date code and determine once and for all...one of these days...

I have a 2001 s4. Has the old badge. But I do have an esp button. I'd take off the shift boot but wouldn't know what to compare it to. Also, check the steering wheel.
