Default 2002 S4: Oil film in intake tract?

Greetings, folks,

I recently crossed over from BMW to Audi- I couldn't be happier with my S4. I purchased it about two weeks ago- 2002 with 92k miles, complete maintenance records (including timing belt). The car was meticulously cared for. I had the Audi dealer do a pre-purchase inspection and they were shocked at the car's condition.

The only ***** I've found in the armor this far was discovered tonight while replacing the throttle body intake boot preventively. I'm marginally paranoid about forced induction having had naturally aspirated vehicles my entire life, I do my own work anyway, so I've been taking advice gathered from these boards and taking care of a few things. The boot was, of course, in perfect condition. However, there was a very thin film of oil in the intake tract- nothing was pooled up and it wasn't excessive, but it scared me nonetheless. It reminded me of the film one would find in an intake tract of a over-oiled K&N filter (the car does not have a K&N filter). Is this cause for concern?

Thanks for putting together the great resources here- I appreciate any help folks can provide.

Regards,
Rob Theriaque
