Default 2004 S4 check engine light reset?

Hey guys,
My 2004 S4 check engine light is on, Autozone scanned it, don't remember what the code was, but it said coolant level low. Only one code came up when scanned. I topped off my coolant, but the check engine light remains on. Does it automatically reset? I've looked/searched but found no answers. Any help is appreciated.

good that coolant is called G12 and don't use anything other than that. For the other problem it may be a temp sensor or something.

So my buddy brought his code reader into work yesturday, we hooked it up, it read the codes and the same code came up. He pushed the "clear code" button on his $65 cheap as heck code reader he purchased at walmart and the code is now gone. Simple as that.

Hope so. Considering OBD2 is a generic computer system the price of the unit doesn't make a difference.

There are others obviously that will do more however a standard unit will read codes and re-set them. Generally you don't need the diagnosis info from the more expensive units as google will provide you with all the info you need on just about any code for any car available today.
