Default 2005 S4 Cab questions

I've test driven the new S4 Cab. Heavy duty machine. How's rear visiblity with the top up? How is quality of the Navigation system? Any problems to be concerned about? I am trying to choose between a CLK 500 cab and this car.
Thanks for any input

I have a 2005 S4, have test driven the cabrio. Visibility is good, but not great. NAV is fast and accurate, although stronger on the audio directions. CLK500 is far inferior in the handling dept. S4 will give you better feedback from the road and it is faster too. On the downside, S4 is stiffer and somewhat bumpier. Nothing to be really concerned with though.

Do have any feedback on S4's quality, reliability and Audi's service? Are there little things that break or don't perform? Audi covers all service for the first 4 years, but I don't want have to spend any more time in service than I have to. I know your car is new, but what is S4's rep for longevity?

Well, this is my 3rd Audi and my conclusion is that they are very reliable, but you will most likely have to replace certain things after 65-80K miles (like timing belt, alternator, battery, bushings...). The body is very strong, no problems there, engine will need care and will give you years of performance. I haven't had bad experience with little things braking. But count on spending I'd say few grand a year after year 4 on good maintenance. Of course, this is assuming you're putting at least 15K miles a year.
