Well I bought my s4 in december of 2002 brand new with 2 miles on it. I put an APR chip,007 diverter valves in it at 10000 miles. It religiously gets an oil change withRedline full synthetic every 3000 miles. I dont care if it is anover kill on the oil changes, but gives piece of mind.

Only problems I have had are an oil leak on the right valve cover, both front CV boots have been replaced and the dashes LCD dispaly is as everyone knows is dead when it gets hot.

I had the Tbelt changed at 51000 miles because of the oil leak (might as well have it changed since the mechanic is going to be taking it apart) transmission was flushed at 70000 miles.

Other then the problems listed above the car to this day, still puts a smile on my face and the whole time I am driving it, Ilook like a gitty little school boy. Only thing I would change is the automatic tranny. I wish I would of gottena 6 speed.

So, my point is take care of the care and do the preventative maintenance and the s4's will be a reliable cars.
