about to purchase...need a little help
well i've been looking to purchase a 2000 s4 biturbo for sometime now and am planning to make my purchase very soon....i've been looking at a few that are for sale locally. There is one that i've been leaning toward.......
2000 audi s4 2.7LV6 twin turbo, nogaro blue, suede and leather interior, 7 didc cd changer, lowerd, 18 inch adr wheels, awe vent boost gauge turbo back exhaust, front mount intercooler, intake, giac chip, hid headlights, 6speed manual, about 360 crank hp over 400ft pounds trq, will run a mid low 12 at the track, 133,300 miles
he also states that he has all maintaince records for the waterpump, timing belt, etc. that was all replaced at 80k
my question is that is his asking price of 14,500 fair or too much? help is appreciated
thanks in advance

RE: about to purchase...need a little help
Possibly because if he has been running all of those mods for that long it is very possible for the turbos to go at any time depending on how the car was driven. Personally I would not buy a car with that many miles that has all those mods. I would rather buy a more stock S4 and do the mods myself, then you know how the car was treated with the mods. Just my 2 cents.

^^yeah i was thinking the same thing because i've also come across a few for sale that are more stock, well maintained w/ low miles and that modding it myself would also be better, thanks for your input
anyone else?

i concur yeah, especially if he has all those mods, might be getting rid of it cuz he is having trouble or something but not a bad find thought that is for sure i would say he is selling at a good price. good luck with your search man

I'm guessing he's run the thing fairly hard, considering he's been to the track. Those numbers are a little high also for the hp and torque. Like murphy said, I wouldn't buy a car with that high of mileage. Period... mods or not. The asking price isn't bad but if you really want the car offer him 13.5k but dont go higher then 14. Try to find one stock with only 60-70k miles on it for $16k, they're out there. One thing to keep in mind is the maintenance; its going to be a lot.
You'll have an ear to ear grin on your face even with a stock or moddedS4.
EDIT: Something to compare it to is I had the chance to get a 2000 B5 6-speedwith 57,000 miles on it for $14500
