Hey guys, I've been gone for a while with the Marines, glad to be back .... Anyways I've been neglecting the S4 and need some help/input.

1. Who other than rieger makes the RS4 bumper, theirs looks cheap or something and can I buy one already painted?

2. Who makes a CF hood, awe tuning doesn't list theirs anymore. Reason being is both my bumper and hood have white chips in them to death and being that my car is black it looks like an oreo milkshake for real.
3.Oh and who sells that splitter on the front, I searched but all I get is the supports to hold it on...
4. How much of an improvement do you guys think ecs tuning's stage 1 rear upgrade is, the caliper hat looks tiny !!!

5. Can the OZ , black, superleggeras or ultraleggeras be got in 18 by 8.5 tirerack and 1010tires have let me down.
6. The worst part of all of this, the car is GIAC chipped and doesn't seem to have it in it anymore, it still pulls ok, and harder than in stock, but in either stock or chipped from only about 2700 to 4100 does it pull then it just kinda goes but not as much. Its not a boost leak or dv's or anything like that, so any suggestions?

Also as a side note congrats on the crap ton of RS6 projects and all the other mods I see done now for all of you that didn't use to be.

 

well first off welcome home, an oreo milkshake sounds delicious. not sure about the bumpers but i see carbon fiber hoods on ebay all the time(yes i know ebay gross but whateva) about the power loss everyone seems to be having egt sensor issues lately so im going to through this one out there for you too.

 

what exactly does the egt sensor control?
Also I forgot, but my headlights are only the zenon white for 30 sec to a few min these days then goes to not as bright and normal yellow almost, is that a bulb, the ballast, or what?

Anyone else know about the other things? Ebay looks bad for the cf hood and I already ordered the oz wheels in 8'' wide. Oh well, still gonna be pleased with the looks !!

 

if you really want that extra half inch you could use a wheel spacer. as for your lights i dont know, i'd try the bulbs first because they're much cheaper to replace but i wouldnt rule out your ballasts going bad however they're about 400 a peice to replace so its usually cheaper to just buy all new headlight assemblies. try ddmtuning.com for new bulbs. they're a bmw company but they sell every different size/color bulbs for a good price and have a lifetime warranty. i've done lots of business with them in the past with my last car and even my audi when i bought new hid bulbs and chrome/amber bulbs when i did my clear corner mod. the egt sensor measures the temperature of the exhaust and if it exceeds i think like 935 degrees it limits the boost level because it thinks you're engine is running to hot therefore making it run in limp mode. they go bad anywhere from 70k to 130k. mine when out at 105k but i've heard people having them go bad at 50k and some dont ever go bad, they arent cheap but i think vast sells them and i think genuine audi sells them but they're called something different like coolant temp sensors or somethin weird..theres a diy on audidiy.com you can look up and it gives a great write up and even has part numbers for ya..

 

bottlecap is on it.. exhaust gas temperature sensors notice temps going above 945 degrees celsius .. i think normal flucuations are around 600 to 800... when its hotter than 945 its way to lean and the cumbustion chambers temps are way to hot.. so wastegate is accuated and fuel dumped and timing changed... when they glitch they go straight to like 1035 celsius .. i only know so much about them cause ive been so stressed about my stage 3 running like *** when i thought it was something wrong with my build or the tune, when it was a no code egt glitch.. both banks where bad.. i fixed one and the other went out like 3 days later.. so id check them with your graph on vagcom under advanced measuring blocks.. shokan has them for like 125 a piece used and guaranteed for a year... =-)

Thanks for all the help so far, I ended up going with the rs4 bumper from achtuning as well as the rs4 mesh and rs4 fogs. Then I grabbed the oz 18'' ultraleggeras from tire rack and the bulbs from ecstuning that philips makes in 5000k temp range.
