I've had my 05 S4 for about a month now and should at this point be fully trained on using the clutch for smooth starts and shifting. However, I'm starting to think something is wrong with the clutch action. It seems it engages like an on/off switch - all in or all out - and the engagement is almost at the very top. It is very difficult to shift smoothly and even worse getting a nice takeoff at the readlights. Am I a bad driver? - didn't use to think so. I have friends with A4 and 911, they also have a difficult time driving my car. I'd like to hear what you folks think about this before I take it to the dealer and get comments like "it's not an automatic."
