What do you guys think? Reason for my search if I may elaborate on the subject is that I hve been debating whether to go B5 or B6 in the S4 model.

 

I will put it very simply for ya awdjunkies, u can get the B5 S4 to whop a B6 S4 pretty easily with just a chip+exhuast

I have one of each, both a very dif to drive: the B5 is a torque monster and very deceptive and doesnt rev anything like the B6

Both my cars are pretty stock for the min, only mods u can do for the B6 is chip and exhaust which do bugger all compared to a B5

Doing the charger on the B6 is very $$$ and personally think its not nessecary on the B6, if u spent the 23K u need for a charger on a B5 u could do the K04 upgrade and not much is goin to catch u on the road mate[sm=exactly.gif]

 

Well thats what I thought but I am starting to like the body style of the B6 with the power mods of the B5 .. I guess you cant win 'em all..

Yeah the missus gets the B5 & i get the B6 (both Imola) - i ussually say to her in the morning which one do u wont? The Yellow one or the Yellow one?[sm=happybounce.gif]

Would have been good if Audi put the 2.7T (with a fair bit more grunt than the B5) into the B6/B7 S4?[sm=wootwoot.gif]

Just to get u get u a bit more jealous, they both look unreal in the garage!

I love the shape of the B6 S4, could u have imagined if it had the 2.7T from the factory with 340 odd Hp and over 500Nm of torque

Audi could have fitted larger turbos than the K04's in the RS4 (B5) coz the bay is bigger, and just imagine what a chip + exhuast would have done to the thing[sm=badbadbad.gif]

The 2.7T has still got heaps of life left in it, its had heaps of development along the way and is still used in alot of the Audi cars

I dont think we have seen the end of turbos in the Audi performance range for now, they will come back and if anyone knows a thing or two about turbocharged motors its Audi[sm=icon_ladiesman.gif][sm=hail.gif]

 

Yeah you are right.. The All Road still has the 2.7L Bi Turbo in it...
you know what would be interesting though, if someone fitted the entire 2.7L engine in the new B6-B7 S4 and of course upgraded to the the K04's with suporting mods along the way!!! wouldn't that be a hoot!!!

 

I was thinking of doing that, putting the 2.7T out of me B5 in the B6 and squeezing the 4.2 into the B5?[sm=lol.gif]
