the s4 will blow him away off the line expecially off the line, but if the grand prix has a bigger turbo on it at all(they are extremely cmall from the factory) then from a roll it would be an awesome race i think, the gp will be underpowered but weights alot less. I would love to have me one of those gp's though, they are extremely rare, and all the tuning to the engine and suspension was done by Mclaren!! The only thing i hate is all the buttons that cover the steering wheel lol

Ya i know that its still the factory turbo and i know for a fact too that he has a "chip" cause i was there when he has installing it ......but i didnt think there were even computers in cars back then so how is that or is it more of just an engine tune? neways off to work now haha

Ok, I have to say I never thought I would see this thread here. The TGP was a standerd grand prix sent to McLaren to have an upgraded motor(3.1MPI with at T25 Garret turbo), upgraded tranny, body kit, OPT sunroof, suspension among other things. In 90 they made about 3750, it was only made in 89 and 90. Now it came bone stock at 210, with a chip depending on weather it is a Jeff M. top gun chip or or one from KAZ motor sports then it should be close to 300 maybe more..... So depending on what you have done it maybe a close. Also just to clear the air, I have a 1990 TGP sitting in storage with about 93K on it and have a Jeff M chip and other small upgrades and it is a fun car to drive, the S4 will put it down but for a 18 year old car it's not that far behind. Put it this way if I spent as much on the TGP as I did the S4 it would most likley walk my S4 as it sits now, not for long though. Hope that helps. One more thing depends on the driver as well..... If he hasn't swaped to a manny and can power brake, that car is quick of the line even though it weighs a ton........
