Hello I am looking to figure out what the best chip for a Stage 3 S4 is? I've heard all good things about AWE, APR, GIAC, and GIAC-x? and Dalhbac however, I haven't heard anything bad and was wondering what everyone thought was the best chip? I'm looking for the chip that will give the highest hp/tq #'s but still being very reliable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

 

A stage 1 chip and stage 3 programming are very different. Your APR or GIAC stage 1 chips are uniform car to car.

When you go to stage 3 it depends too much on how the car has been modified. The AWE(uses GIAC) and APR stage 3 software are both fine Off the shelf. Neither are pushing the k04s to their limit, and both are built to be relyable.

When someone is stage 3 and looking to get the most out of their setup they ARE NOT using off the shelf stage 3 programming. For the most power you should run an MBC , and getting your car professionally tuned by somewhere like EPL.

Once i get my stage 3 stuff im going to go there to dyno and probably get a custom tune.

 

personally i would go with vast cause of all the support they give you for getting your ride perfect how YOU want it.
