BIG NEWS on my S4.

Wow Imola - pretty impressive! enjoy! I may (be forced!) to go your route if my turbos don't hold out. My mechanic tells me they are leaking oil and it might only be a matter of time - boo hoo. If I have to replace them I will defintly go KO4s - and then I imagine we'll talk...I know I'll need downpipes..not sure what else...new breaks as you said and perhaps a chip UG...(hopefully not all at once...KO4s are bad enough...) - I'd like a few more years to ponder this over however...

OK - so what triumph did you get? TR6?(oops just saw your post - 1948 eh? I bet its nice...) ...very nice for tooling around. ..........
saleen has never made the #06 car. becasue during the first bath of saleens back in like 84 there was a problem with the paperwork and as a result saleen never made number 6. so this was the last SA-15 car built.

Saleens are way slick. My brother-in-law had one (guess it was the 281? - not sure the designations) - anyway it was a convertable - looked good - handled great - everythign felt very high quality and assembled well - drove good - was way fast (comparable to the B5S4 IMO) - never drove them back to back (as I didn't have the S4 then) - but my impression was that its roadholding and tossability were a bit better and speed was similar though I'd give the edge to my (chipped) S4. Very nice car - and that yellow one in David's sig looks sharp IMO. No reason at all to dis Saleens.
I really wasn't dissing Saleen. I was just chuckling at the "can't count" comment. It went along with my "new math" comment. Just havin' fun wit ya, is all.
But I must say, the look of the Saleen is a bit over the top for me.
Yellow wheels.
"Boxter" side intake vent.
Center mount dash gauge pod.
Shark brake vents.
Convertible cowling ala Porsche.
JDM style wing.
and is that a chrome capped tailpipe? Then they still use an old style fixed radio antenna??!!
Just my observations that give me the shivers..... meh.
